About The Job:

Crows Crows Crows (The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe) are looking for a 3D Environment Artist for an initial contract of 6 months to develop the World of our unannounced new game!

This role would suit an experienced 3D Modeller and Environment Artist who has worked in modern game engines and is comfortable working remotely in a digital production environment.

We work with people from all across the world and are happy to consider applications from anywhere, however we do require reasonable crossover with our core working hours in the UK (10:00 - 16:00).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of 3D environment assets and corresponding materials and implement them in Unity, adhering to the established style and visual direction of the project.

  • Work with the team to implement these assets into our greybox levels, structuring assets in prefabs and maintain established naming / folder conventions.

  • Collaborate with the team to further develop the 3D visual style of the game, leverage reusable procedural materials and trim sheets so new assets can be produced efficiently and new team members have a clear standard of quality to work to.

  • Work closely with Production to help plan and review 3D Art tasks and milestones.

  • Exploring new workflows and toolsets to assist in the construction of environment art throughout the game.

Desired Experience:

  • Strong artistic sense with excellent skills in 3D composition, color theory, and lighting.

  • Great experience in modern 3D art software (Blender, Maya, Substance Designer, etc).

  • Shipped at least one commercial Games project in a Mid-Senior role, ideally in Unity (or 3 years working on an unshipped projects at a larger studio).

  • Proven track record of delivering beautiful environment art in modern game engines. 

  • Experience with prefab authoring for use by game designers.

  • Some familiarity with Unity's High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) and Universal Render Pipeline (URP).

  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

  • Expertise in tools and workflows for optimising game art.
